Locum Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Level III NICU

Location: Neptune City, NJ

Contract Dates: May 23, 2025 – December 31, 2025

Compensation: $125/hour

We are seeking a Locum Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with Level III NICU experience to join their high-volume neonatal care team. This is a flexible but vital role to fill schedule gaps, particularly for nights and weekends, with a consistent monthly shift need and excellent hourly pay.

Position Highlights:

Contract Length: May 23 – December 31, 2025

Pay Rate: $125/hour

Schedule Coverage Needed:

Day Shift (M–F): 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Night Shift: 4:30 PM – 8:30 AM (16-hour shift)

Weekends: 12-hour or 24-hour coverage

Shift Need: 6–8 shifts/month to fill gaps

Flexibility: Open to scheduling around provider availability, but must be able to cover days, nights, and weekends, with heavier need for nights/weekends

Clinical Environment:

Level III NICU with high census

Day census shared between 1 APP and 3 residents

Supported by 4 attending neonatologists

Night census shared between 2–3 providers on call

Fast-paced, collaborative, and academically aligned environment

Requirements:

Active NJ NP or PA license

Experience in a Level III NICU

Neonatal resuscitation, procedures, and critical care expertise required

Must be comfortable with night and weekend shifts

Strong team communication and patient-family interaction skills
