Salary: $21.75/hour+ DOE

Dakota Carrier Network (DCN), a provider of high-speed broadband communication services, serving North Dakota customers with locations within the state and through its partnerships, has an opening for an Application Analyst. This position can be located in either our Bismarck or Fargo office locations. Applications will be accepted through May 26th, 2025, or until the position is filled.

Job Summary:

The Systems Administrator installs and configures enterprise computer and network hardware and software, responds to IT service issues and requests, and provides technical support across the company.

Responsibilities:

Installs, configures, and maintains computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners.

Installs, configures, and maintains LAN switches and firewalls.

Investigates, diagnoses, and solves computer software and hardware faults.

Provides technical support in a timely manner across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).

Configures user accounts for staff, ensures that they know how to log in, and solves password related issues.

Maintains and coordinates the support of DCNs video conferencing systems.

Plans and undertakes scheduled maintenance upgrades for both hardware and software systems.

Maintains records of various software licenses.

Researches and implements new computer and network technologies based on industry best practices.

Leads conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the computer network landscape.

Creates and maintains processes, procedures, and documentation in managing the network and virtual environment.

Installs, configures, and maintains the virtual environment utilizing VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V, including hosts and clusters.

Implements and maintains a backup and disaster recovery/business continuity solution.

Provides intel regarding industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape of which every customer needs to be aware and plans accordingly when moving critical data, intellectual property, and mission critical applications to the cloud.

Education and Experience:

In-depth knowledge of computer hardware and software.

Relevant work experience working with Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Office 365 administration, and various web browsers.

Experience configuring and maintaining Linux-based systems.

Experience operating virtualization infrastructure using VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.

Knowledge of cloud-based network, infrastructure, and software services.

Full-time
