**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to efficiently handle the loading and unloading of railroad parts using a sit-down propane forklift. The ideal candidate will accurately pick and build customer orders using an iPad, ensuring all material documents are correctly reviewed and discrepancies communicated. This role involves working both inside the warehouse and outside in all weather conditions.

**Responsibilities**

+ Utilize a sit-down propane forklift to pick railroad parts.

+ Load and unload trucks with customer orders.

+ Use an iPad to pick specific customer orders and build pallets.

+ Accurately review all material documents and identify and communicate discrepancies.

+ Work outside in all weather conditions.

+ Load trucks with parts, ensuring they are strapped down correctly.

**Essential Skills**

+ Experience operating a sit-down forklift.

+ Proficiency in picking customer orders using an iPad.

+ Ability to build pallets.

+ Attention to detail and accuracy in order picking.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience operating a forklift outdoors.

+ Strong attention to detail.

**Work Environment**

The work environment is a well-lit, clean distribution center located in Elwood, Illinois. The facility includes a variety of racks with railroad parts and requires working both inside the warehouse and outside in the yard, with products staged in both areas.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elwood, Illinois.

**Shift Hours:**

1st Shift : 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday through Friday

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
