**Job Title: Electronics Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our Prefabrication team, specializing in the assembly and testing of access control system enclosures. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in electronics, the ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics, and experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters. This role is crucial in ensuring high-quality, pre-built security system components are delivered ready for installation.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble and wire access control panels and enclosures according to engineering drawings and schematics.
+ Interpret and follow detailed wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and layout drawings.
+ Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters) to build and test electrical assemblies.
+ Perform continuity checks, voltage measurements, and functional testing to ensure system integrity.
+ Label wiring and components accurately per project specifications.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and quality standards.
+ Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and quality control personnel to resolve technical issues.
+ Document work performed and assist in updating build documentation as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
+ Skilled in the use of multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
+ Familiarity with access control systems (Lenel, HID, Mercury, etc.).
+ Familiarity with low-voltage security systems, including intrusion detection and CCTV.
+ High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or related field preferred.
+ 2+ years of experience in electrical assembly, preferably in access control or low-voltage systems.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with access control systems, CCTV, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies.
+ Ability to interpret Bill of Materials (BOMs) and cut sheets.

**Work Environment**
Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, in a modern, climate-controlled prefabrication facility. This location provides a comfortable and professional setting for our team.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanahan, South Carolina.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
