**Job Title: Controls Technician**

**Job Description**

As a Controls Technician, you will play a vital role in installing and commissioning conveyor equipment and systems. Your work will ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems, and collaborate with various departments to ensure project success.

**Responsibilities**

+ Install and commission conveyor equipment and systems, including mechanical and electrical components.

+ Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems.

+ Communicate project status, risks, and issues to the project manager and internal teams.

+ Collaborate with engineering, sales, and customer service departments to ensure project success.

+ Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.

+ Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

**Essential Skills**

+ High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.

+ 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical installation, preferably in the conveyor industry.

+ Knowledge of conveyor system design, installation, and maintenance.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Willingness to travel to client sites frequently.

+ Physical ability to work in a field installation environment, including the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.

+ Experience with basic hand and power tools.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

+ Technical ability to use a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer.

+ Fluent in reading and writing English; understanding of Spanish is a plus.

+ Experience with PLC troubleshooting and Rockwell Automation.

+ Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, photoeyes, and pneumatics.

+ Experience with S7000 Intralox Sorter and cabling.

Example of typical 60, 70, & 80 hour work week based on $33/hr:

+ 33x40= $1,320. 49.50x20= $990. **60 hour week total= $2,310 + 420 ME&I per diem $2,730 x 9(months) = $98,280/year**

+ 33x40=$1,320. 49.50x30=$1,485. **70 hour week total= $2,805 + 420 ME&I per diem $3,225 x 9(months = $116,100/year**

+ 33x40=$1,320. 49.50x40=$1,980. **80 hour week total= $3,300 + 420 ME&I per diem $3,720 x 9(months) = $133,920/year**

**Work Environment**

You will work in a dynamic environment that regularly exposes you to moving mechanical parts. Safety is a top priority, and compliance with all EH&S requirements at Amazon facilities is essential. As a part of our team, you will be using multi hand and power tools, and must be capable of lifting items up to 50 lbs. The ability to climb ladders, operate a forklift, and use a scissor lift while adhering to OSHA standards is required.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position requiring 75-90% travel

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
