The machine operator in the Dry Room is responsible for overseeing key steps in the electrode manufacturing process to produce high-quality anode and cathode electrodes. These electrodes are critical components in battery technology. The role requires dexterity and attention to detail, primarily focusing on the drying process after the electrode coating. The drying process is heavily automated, involving a significant amount of machine operation.
**Responsibilities**
+ Understand process capabilities through design of experiment and data analysis.
+ Develop and optimize process conditions for new materials, recipes, and designs.
+ Lead new process development from pilot validation to scale-up in mass production.
+ Drive a multi-functional team to solve technically complex problems using first principles and data-driven methodologies.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in machine operating within a manufacturing environment.
+ Troubleshooting skills for automated machines.
+ Responsibility for in-process and finished product quality in manufacturing.
+ Ability to stand for extended periods.
+ Use of steel-toed shoes.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and lifting.
**Shift & Pay**
+ 1st shift: 8AM - 4PM (Monday - Friday)
+ **$21-22, based on experience**

**Work Environment**
The work environment is clean and meets stringent requirements for battery manufacturing. While the coating area may be slightly dirtier due to coating materials, it remains very clean overall. The facility is temperature-controlled, with summer temperatures reaching around 75 degrees.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
