The Tennessee Titans are looking for a Data Engineer to join our DevOps team, where you’ll help build and maintain the data infrastructure empowering our business analytics teams. We’re looking for someone who can build robust data pipelines, streamline deployment processes, and translate complex data questions into actionable solutions across our operations.

You’ll work in a modern data stack (Python, AWS/Azure, Snowflake, Airflow, DBT, Docker) designing scalable solutions, optimizing existing processes, automating deployment workflows, and managing the delivery of containerized data applications and services.

This is an on-site position. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to our offices in Nashville by their first day.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines and data models for a data warehouse, ensuring performance, cost-efficiency, and adaptability to evolving business needs.

Manage Docker-based deployments of data services, ensuring repeatable and reliable delivery across development and production environments.

Operationalize machine learning models in MLOps, including monitoring model performance and automated retraining.

Develop internal tools and APIs (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, RShiny, Dash, Streamlit) to support and scale data operations.

Own end-to-end delivery of data engineering projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery to internal stakeholders.

Implement quality assurance practices to monitor and maintain internal data integrations and processes.

Champion best practices for data governance, security, compliance, and business continuity, including CI/CD implementation, code reviews, and documentation.

Enhance data documentation to improve knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.

Collaborate cross-functionally to identify automation opportunities and translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

2+ years of hands-on data engineering experience in a professional setting

Expert in SQL and Python (or R) with experience building production-grade ETL pipelines

Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, but Azure/GCP works too)

Experience in CI/CD best practices, infrastructure-as-code, and automated testing frameworks

Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker in production environments

Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow and workflow automation strategies

Proficiency with Git for version control, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code review workflows

Experience with BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)

Ability to work with confidential data with discretion

Bonus points for: ML/AI experience, DevOps skills, JavaScript, C#, or a background in sports industry

Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays
