We’re looking for a Sponsorship and Events Manager to join our team! This position will support the mission, purpose, and vision of A Kid’s Place by planning, organizing, and executing fundraising and stewardship events. This role ensures that events align with the organization’s goals, strengthen donor engagement, and achieve or exceed fundraising goals.
This position will report to the Development Director.
Monday through Friday, 8:30a-5:00p, salary, and exempt.
Pay is $60K annually.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Special Events/Fundraising
Develop and implement sponsorship strategies to meet revenue goals.
Identify, solicit, and steward event sponsors, monetary and in-kind donors. Secure $350K+ in sponsorships for events
Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of special events.
Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, catering, décor, program development, and on-site execution.
Coordinate, recruit, train and maintain event planning committees and volunteers for assistance in planning, assistance during events, and setup/break down.
Manage event budgets, timelines, and post-event evaluations to ensure continual improvement.
Maintain event spreadsheets and reconcile with controller. (up to date revenues, expenses, auction solicitation, sponsorships received, comparison to previous years and reconcile to QuickBooks and CRM)
Prepare sponsorship and auction proposals
Prepare and process thank you/acknowledgement letters for donations, sponsorships, and participation.
Collaborate with team for website and social media as needed
Cultivate and steward relationships with potential and current donors, event attendees, sponsors, and volunteers.
Assist in executing monthly group tours to help educate, cultivate and steward donors.Administration/Marketing
Update donor database with notes/details from meetings/calls with donors and volunteers
Assist with content for an annual report, E-News and print newsletter, website, and marketing materials as needed.
Assist in the creation/design of new collateral materials for special events, campaigns and general information of donors.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
Assist with community partnerships to help create awareness and raise monetary funds for organization.
Represent A Kid’s Place by speaking to groups, inspiring engagement by sharing our mission, vision, and encouraging meaningful ways to get involved and support our work.
Provide tours of the facility as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to pass a Level 2 FDLE background screen, drug screen, and local background screen upon initial hire and annually thereafter.
Possession of a valid driver’s license and eligibility for acceptance by the company’s insurance carrier.
Demonstrated success in meeting fundraising targets.
Demonstrated success developing outstanding relationships with individual and corporate donors.
Experience with donor management systems.
Strong event coordination experience.
Reliable in arriving on time and ready to perform job duties, with flexibility to work all assigned shifts and hours.
Maintain a professional demeanor to clients, staff, and external parties.
Must be culturally sensitive and able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel and children.
Strong time-management abilities with a demonstrated capacity to multi-task efficiently.
Exceptional organizational abilities, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with all employees while complying with EEOC rules and accepting constructive feedback from management in a professional manner.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or equal or higher amount of working experience.
3+ years of experience in fundraising and donor relations.
