We are currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Receptionist to become a key part of our team and serve as the welcoming face of our firm.

Position Summary:

As the Receptionist at Duryea & Edwards CPA, you will serve as the initial point of contact for clients and visitors. Your role will involve overseeing front desk operations, assisting with general administrative tasks, and creating a positive and professional first impression. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a courteous and adaptable attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk Management:

Greet clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner

Answer and direct phone calls

Schedule and confirm appointments

Organize and maintain front desk and waiting area

Assist with filing and handling sensitive documents

Provide administrative support to the tax and accounting team

Learn internal processes and software with training

Qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Comfortable handling confidential documents

Willingness to learn and take direction

Prior experience in an office or receptionist role preferred

Familiarity with tax forms or accounting documents is a plus

Client Interaction:

Provide clients with information about the firm’s services and answer basic inquiries.

Assist clients with forms and paperwork as needed.

Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional qualifications or certifications are a plus.

Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
