Our client, a prestigious Am Law 100 firm, is seeking an experienced and strategic Business Development Manager to join its dynamic Marketing Department. Location: Hackensack, NJ (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite as Set by Manager)
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 (Commensurate with Experience) + Bonus Eligible

Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer
Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with attorneys and senior marketing leadership to implement initiatives that drive growth and enhance client relationships. This includes overseeing RFP responses, improving marketing materials, analyzing competitive intelligence, and maintaining databases that support firm-wide business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with attorneys and practice leaders to develop and implement strategic marketing and business development plans.
Manage and respond to RFPs and pitches; track outcomes and maintain proposal content.
Conduct in-depth market, industry, and competitive research to support business development initiatives.
Maintain and enhance the firm’s experience and credentials database.
Improve pitch materials and streamline processes across offices to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Brainstorm, develop, and execute new collateral to support practice and firmwide marketing goals.
Monitor progress on marketing and BD plans and provide regular updates and reporting.
Support and track results from firmwide and practice-specific RFPs and marketing campaigns.
Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives.
Travel to other office locations as needed for business or team meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; marketing, communications, or business focus preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing or business development, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Familiarity with legal industry tools such as Monitor Suite and/or Redwood Analytics is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with attorneys and colleagues at all levels.
