Are you ready for a change? The Shed Restaurant is seeking to expand its exceptional management teams with passionate industry professionals!

Our front-of-house teams are the ones who make The Shed Experience! They work together with our amazing culinary team and are excited about the people, the food, the cocktails, and the unique touches that make The Shed Restaurant special.

Experience is required. Salaries range from AGM: $60K - $75K to GM: $70K - $80K, based on experience and the position you’re hired for. We also have “Day Manager” hourly positions available for those with industry experience who want a leadership opportunity.

GMs/AGMs: Salary + Bonuses + Vacation + Paid Sick Time + Benefits + 2 Days off Per Week consecutively

Our salaried managers work 5 days a week with a team of managers and supervisors and are actively involved in the restaurant’s operations, right alongside our dedicated staff. Our hourly supervisors/Day Managers help the management team open or close the restaurant and handle the expo.

Our Day Managers are our future managers and general managers, and we’re looking for people who are passionate about growing their career in the restaurant industry.

1-3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant in a Management role (for AGM/GM positions)

Natural leadership abilities and a genuine desire to care for others

The ability to maintain a positive and upbeat atmosphere throughout the restaurant

The capacity to grow and foster a healthy, happy, and motivated FOH team

Self-discipline and exceptional multitasking skills

Have a keen eye for detail in every aspect of the restaurant, including the front of the house (FOH) and back of the house (BOH).

Understand and are comfortable using POS and computer systems, particularly TOAST, which is a significant advantage.

Be humble and eager to learn.

Able to work at all / any 4 of our locations on Long Island, if needed.

Roles and Responsibilities of our Leaders:

Establish genuine guest relations, ensure guest satisfaction, and make people feel special.

Care for our team as a family and lead by example. Identify and develop future leaders.

Respond promptly and genuinely to any possible guest issue, whether in person or online (though rare), to ensure all guests leave happy.

Manage and fully understand the backend of our POS system (TOAST), including troubleshooting technical issues with the help of IT phone support (which involves both stationary and handheld units). While we provide training, a comfort level with technology is required.

Ensure the profitability of The Shed restaurant operations by operating within cost-of-goods and labor productivity guidelines while providing exceptional service.

Complete all daily and weekly restaurant paperwork accurately and on time.

Order and maintain inventory of all necessary FOH items, small wares, dry goods, marketing items, and more. (Monitor costs as well.)

Execute and delegate the upkeep of the restaurant grounds, both indoors and outdoors. A keen eye for detail is essential.
