POSITION DESCRIPTION
The ERP Business Analyst primarily supports the development, implementation and maintenance of the Company’s ERP environment. The ERP Business Analyst serves as a liaison between the Company’s functional teams and software applications to ensure the ERP solutions align with business objectives. Lead process improvement projects, analyzing current workflows to identify areas for enhancement and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency. This role requires knowledge of a manufacturing environment and strong analytical skills to evaluate complex business processes and recommend effective solutions that drive operational improvements.
PRIMARY DUTIES
ERP Systems Support
Provide day-to-day support for core ERP solutions, including its manufacturing shop floor and scheduling solutions. This includes quick troubleshooting to help ensure minimal interruptions for office and plant personnel.
Identify acceptable workarounds or interim solutions when issues arise and promptly communicate them to end users.
Lead process improvement projects, analyzing current workflows to identify areas for enhancement, maintaining accurate documentation for knowledge sharing, and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency
Requirements Documentation & Vendor Liaison
Gather and document business requirements, develop functional specifications, and create process maps to support system enhancements or new implementations.
Communicate with external software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues or questions, ensuring timely resolutions and system stability.
Training & User Support
Develop and deliver training programs and materials to educate employees on IT systems usage, best practices, and process changes.
Provide ongoing user support and guidance to ensure adoption and effective use of IT systems.
Reporting & Analytics
Use Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) for data analysis and collaboration.
Leverage Power BI (or be willing to learn) for dashboards and data insights.
Collaboration & Communication
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Provide mentorship or guidance to designated department leads to encourage consistency and efficiency across locations.
Communicate system changes/issues with internal stakeholders and international counterparts, holding team members accountable to deadlines and solutions.
The ERP Business Analyst will generally work in an office environment but will be required to work on the manufacturing floor depending on the task at hand.
Other Duties as Assigned
Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support evolving business and IT requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
2-5 years of experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing context
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex business processes and recommend effective solutions
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to stakeholders at all levels.
Understanding of common manufacturing workflows and data flow across departments
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps
Experience with SAP is a plus
Experience with reporting/analytics modules such as Microsoft Power BI and SSRS is a plus
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in system configuration and data management
Demonstrated ownership and initiative: ability to see tasks through to resolution and propose improvements
Customer-service mindset, capable of juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
