ITS is looking for a seasoned Manufacturing Engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes and components to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and uphold quality standards. As well as assisting with coordination of major engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes using engineering principles and knowledge of materials, tooling, equipment, and quality standards.
Create work instructions, process flow charts, and spaghetti diagrams.
Contribute to facility layout design to maximize efficiency and workflow.
Collaborate with design teams to align product and tooling designs with production needs.
Interface with vendors to specify and procure equipment, materials, and components.
Estimate production time, staffing, and cost for project planning.
Analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, and process improvements.
Participate in production planning and scheduling discussions.
Apply statistical methods to forecast manufacturing requirements.
Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
Take initiative and demonstrate attention to detail.
Perform other related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
3-5 years of relevant industry experience required.
Familiarity with CNC machining, forging, casting, sheet metal, press operations, deep drawing, heat treating, and automated assembly/machining processes.
Experience in the fastener or aerospace industry preferred.
Proficient in SolidWorks; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software a plus.
Prototype and tooling machining skills desirable.
Certifications such as P.E., Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, CMfgT, or CMfgE preferred.
Permanent
