Sr. Microsoft Engineer
The Sr Systems Engineer - Microsoft will be responsible for managing and maintaining the large-scale operating system infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft Windows upgrades and systems discovery and mapping for the Microsoft environment. The engineer will design, deploy, and maintain highly redundant, scalable, enterprise-class systems and services on Windows Server platforms, ensuring system stability, security, and optimal performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead Windows migrations, including planning, execution, and validation of migrations, with a focus on Windows and upgrades
• Conduct systems discovery and mapping for the Microsoft environment, including identifying dependencies and relationships between systems, such as IIS, SharePoint, and SQL
• Configure and manage Windows systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Implement and manage configuration management tools, such as Ansible, for automation and standardization of server builds, configurations, and updates
• Implement and validate Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and ensure vulnerability and anti-virus software agents and definitions are current
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Monitor system performance, security, and availability
• Troubleshoot complex issues and provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for Windows systems
• Apply, manage, and perform system upgrades, patches, and security updates, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain documentation for Windows systems and processes, including system administration guides and troubleshooting procedures

• Accurate and comprehensive systems discovery and mapping for the Microsoft environment, including IIS, SharePoint, and SQL dependencies
