BASIC FUNCTION:

The Emergency Power Unit Technician inspects, diagnoses, maintains, and repairs emergency power unit systems located at schools and sites throughout the district.

POSITION SPECIFICS:

Working Location is based out of Physical Plant Operations - 4860 Ruffner Street, San Diego, CA 92111

Scheduled for 40 hours per week, 12 months per year

This is a promotional/open opportunity, which means that current monthly salaried employees receive precedence over other candidates on the eligible list.

For a promotional/open posting, the top ten internal applicants will be provided unless there is an insufficient number and then the list will be supplemented with the top external applicants to make up the ten (Employment Regulations for the Classified Service of the San Diego Unified School District: Article 2, Section 9).

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to technical or vocational training in electronics and four years of recent, full-time, paid electronic or electrical repair experience.
