Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to manage and oversee procurement operations within the marketing and distribution domains. The successful candidate will lead strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations to support various departments, with a strong focus on agency and distribution-related procurement activities. Experience in the insurance industry is a must, particularly in handling procurement for sales channels, agencies, and distribution functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Operations & Strategic Sourcing

Source and procure various marketing and promotional items including:

Printing: brochures, booklets, calendars, business cards, flyers, backdrops, roll banners, spanduk, paper bags, etc.

Promotional Items: branded souvenirs (e.g., power bank, tumblr, etc), and vouchers/e-vouchers.

Marketing Services: KOL, content management & distribution, customer research, media buying, PR agency, social media monitoring, etc.

2. Event & Distribution Support

Manage procurement for sales and agency support materials:

Booths, decorations, event logistics, mystery shopping, psychometric testing tools, training materials, etc.

Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of items required by agency and distribution teams, supporting their engagement and activation events.

3. Vendor & Supplier Management

Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers.

Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost-efficiency and service quality.

Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and relevant regulations.

4. Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

Prepare monthly cost-saving reports to be submitted to the Group Sourcing team.

Compile and present comprehensive procurement data for monthly Sourcing Committee meetings.

Actively participate in monthly Sourcing Call Meetings with Business-As-Usual (BAU) teams in Group Sourcing.

Maintain accurate procurement documentation, including contracts, evaluations, and vendor communications.

5. Process Improvement

Conduct periodic assessments of procurement practices and collaborate with relevant departments to improve systems, databases, and procedures.

Implement best practices in procurement planning, supplier evaluation, and performance tracking.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement within the insurance industry.

Proven experience handling procurement for agency/distribution functions is essential.

Strong understanding of marketing and promotional procurement processes.

Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.

Experience in dealing with Group Sourcing and reporting to regional or global offices is a plus.

Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
