UX Designer with Video Editing Experience

Preferred Location: New Providence, NJ

Job Summary:

We know were looking for a needle in a haystack here, but were looking to hire a part-time UX Designer with Video Editing experience at Kiswe. This is your chance to work with and help lead a company that is defining the future of direct-to-consumer digital solutions. This is a contract position for 20 hours a week, with the hourly compensation range applicable to this role landing between $30-$40 an hour. This role ideally will sit in our US Headquarters at our offices in New Providence, New Jersey, but we are open to remote US candidates who meet or exceed our qualifications. Please note, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Description:

With this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and further develop basic UX feature mockups. This includes building user interfaces based on wireframes, and creating interactive designs to demonstrate what the real world outcome could look like. Sometimes youll start the process from scratch too. This could be a multi-faceted role for the right candidate, that would include creative storytelling, the ability to dive in on some motion design projects, and jumping in on problem solving meetings focused around our products. In addition to UX work, this role could be responsible for crafting short-form videos, building motion graphics in After Effects, and helping bring product and marketing ideas to life with clean, thoughtful design. Youll be expected to transition between Figma frames and some video timelines without missing a beat. Ultimately, youll help shape experience and content at a startup in a competitive, rapidly evolving industry!

Primary Responsibilities:

Design and adapt visuals in Figma for decks, pages, or in-product moments

Take responsibility for researching and collecting feedback from stakeholders, staying focused on ways to improve the user experience

Stay on-brand while finding ways to push boundaries creatively

Collaborate with product, marketing, and creative teams to translate ideas into visual experiences

Build and edit motion graphics and animations in After Effects (templates and custom work)

Edit short-form and sizzle-style videos for social, marketing, and product

Required Qualifications:

13 years of experience in UX/UI with a history of designs across multiple platforms

Knowledge of UX/UI best practices, and the ability to contribute to ideas about the dos and donts to other stakeholders

Strong eye for composition, pacing, and visual storytelling

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working with sports and entertainment brands

A history of self-starting on projects while proactively asking questions to clarify requirements and desired deliverables

Energy, creativity and enthusiasm

Experience with video editing and motion graphic software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, or After Effects a big plus

Experience working on promos, sizzle reels, or branded content

A portfolio that demonstrates the ability to blend motion and editing
