Responsibilities

Design and architect scalable, intuitive, reliable and secure BI solutions that effectively integrate data from disparate source systems

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI architecture

Oversee the development and optimization of ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading

Create and maintain data models that support reporting and analytics needs, ensuring data integrity and security

Develop and implement dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business users

Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies and best practices in data management

Evaluate and recommend BI tools and technologies to enhance the organization’s analytics capabilities while ensuring reliability and security

Participating in BI projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery

Mentor and provide technical guidance to BI team members and other stakeholders

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence and data analytics

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field

5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, or data architecture roles, specifically within the Microsoft tech stack

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting

Extensive experience with SQL Server, including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL processes and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) for data modeling

Experience with Azure Data Services, including Azure Data Factory for data integration and Azure SQL Database for cloud-based data storage

Knowledge of data modeling techniques and methodologies (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema) within the Microsoft ecosystem

Experience with cloud-based BI solutions and data storage (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
