ABOUT OUR ROLE

Under the direction and guidance of the Food & Beverage Manager, the Food & Beverage Supervisor encourages guest and staff loyalty by providing engaging, dynamic, fun experience for all guests and staff. This role is responsible for restaurant operations during the shift in the absence of Food & Beverage Manager.

They are welcomed to market ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover; increase guest satisfaction while keeping quality consistently high.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS

Be the Ambassador of the Property, Guest Advocate, Gracious Host and Staff Cheerleader within the Property and the local community.

Spend 95% of day/night in guest service areas interacting with guests and the staff.

Monitor servers, runners, and other restaurant staff and ensure adherence to all service standards and SOPs, including inspecting staff for correct, clean, complete uniform, clean polished shoes general appearance standards.

Supervise service of guests, being watchful of signals from guests in need of service.

Assist manager to establish and monitor side-work duty completion. Supervises daily guest service functions to sustain courteous and professional guest service levels.

Read daily communication sheets from previous shift and prepare one for the following shift. Check for all personnel call offs and check floor plan for coverage.

Check restaurant for cleanliness and set up. Check service stands and aisle areas. Check tables for cleanliness and proper set up.

Communicate daily with restaurant manager with regard to special events, house counts, etc.

Consistently monitor quality of service and product delivered in the guest service areas.

Hold staff accountable for giving an Engaging Dynamic Guest Experience based on Hotel and Restaurant Standards.

Assess employee performance and provide feedback periodically based on hotel standards.

Resolve guest complaints in a satisfactory manner.

Bartenders will assist guests by taking beverage and food orders, serving items, maintaining guest satisfaction, and processing payments.

Serve alcoholic beverages and food courses to guests.

Knowledge of liquor, beer, wine and cocktail compositions.

Answer questions on alcoholic selections/menus to guests

QUALIFICATIONS

College Degree or equivalent in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred

One to two years in a public contact position in an upscale restaurant or lifestyle brand hotel

Strong English verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency with computer skills

Positive and productive working relationships with entire staff of the property

Passion for gracious, friendly, and fun customer service

Prior bartending experience in a high-volume or hospitality setting required

Familiarity with classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits is preferred

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Always in proper uniform.

Complete required training programs.

Ability to work weekends, mornings, weekdays, and holidays.

REQUIREMENTS

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance

Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity

Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift

Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

SCHEDULE

Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage including seasonality– on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

SALARY

$18/hour + tips
