Role Description This is a contract role for a Physician Assistant Certified.

The role requires working on-site at our East Rutherford, NJ location.

The Physician Assistant Certified will be responsible for a variety of tasks including examining and evaluating patients, making diagnoses, and developing treatment plans.

The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with our team of orthopaedic specialists to provide high-quality care to our patients.

QualificationsClinical skills: Knowledge of orthopaedic medicine and diagnosis, treatment, and management of orthopaedic conditions; understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminologyInterpersonal Skills: Compassion, empathy, and the ability to communicate effectively with patientsTechnical Skills: Ability to use electronic medical records (EMR) and various medical devices; familiar with standard medical procedures and techniques, including injection therapy, casting, and splintingEducation and Certification: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); holds a current New York state license as a PAExperience: Prior experience working as a PA in orthopaedics or sports medicine is preferred but not requiredCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in a second language spoken in our service area is a plusFlexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet the needs of our patients Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, strong critical thinking ability, and understanding of billing and insurance procedures for orthopaedic services.
