Position Overview
Operations specialist – This opportunity is a critical support role for a dedicated customer and serves as a frontline source of information for the account. This role requires data manipulation and analysis from an Excel platform; liaising and developing relationships with contacts at the customer, warehouses, and carriers; reviewing reports and updating system information; and relaying any findings relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the account to the traffic coordinator.
What you will get to do
Track & trace operational process management for Inbound/Outbound. Assist immediate manager and team in daily inbound/outbound operations.
· Track and trace loads.
· Determine root causes of any issues.
· Collaborate and create corrective action plans.
· Take corrective action with carriers to ensure on time pickup/delivery.
· Receive and process any rating requests.
· Produce BOLs and POD.
· Confirm info on BOLs is accurate.
· Provide ETAs to customers as needed.
· Verify orders picked up from previous working day.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office.
· Experience within the transportation industry and/or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration or other relevant degree.
· Highly organized.
· Able to communicate effectively.
· Prior experience with a TMS.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30am to 5pm. Full time.
