Title: Client Service Representative

Location: In-Office / Jackson, MI

Reports to: Client Manager

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Full-Time or Part-Time: Full-Time

Salary Range: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Position Overview:

The Client Service Representative is an entry-level position within the Client Services team, responsible for supporting timely and effective collections and resolution of outstanding accounts receivable. This role focuses on follow-up with payors and patients, account adjustments, and identifying trends to support cash flow and reduce accounts receivable days. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, accuracy, and a strong commitment to client service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct follow-up with insurance companies regarding denied, rejected, or unpaid claims.

• Verify insurance eligibility using available tools and resources.

• Investigate and resolve unpaid self-pay and litigation accounts.

• Communicate with patients to resolve outstanding balances and establish payment plans within company guidelines.

• Follow appropriate laws and Coronis procedures in the collection of outstanding balances.

• Review and process correspondence from providers, payors, and patients related to accounts.

• Process Credit Status Reports and initiate adjustments or refunds as needed.

• Initiate account actions including referrals to collections, write-offs, and payor adjustments per company policy.

• Attend team meetings and contribute to process discussions and improvements.

• Identify and escalate trends or recurring issues related to payors or invoice setup.

• Update client-specific documentation and dictionaries as needed.

• Assist in onboarding and training of new team members.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Strong organizational skills

• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality standards

• Understanding of healthcare billing, insurance processes, and collections

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1-2 years of experience in medical billing, collections, or a healthcare environment preferred
