Job Title: QC Lab Technician I
Location: Central Islip, NY (On-site only)

Shift: General Shift (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; may vary based on business needs)
Job Summary:
A pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician I to support laboratory operations through sample management, inventory control, and environmental monitoring. The role ensures compliance with cGMP standards and contributes to the overall success of the quality control laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage samples for raw materials, in-process, finished products, and stability testing, including receipt, logging, distribution, and disposal.
Monitor and maintain inventory of chemicals, reagents, and reference standards, ensuring expired materials are disposed of according to procedures.
Perform data entry and documentation using systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office.
Maintain lab consumables inventory and place orders as needed.
Monitor temperature and humidity of stability chambers and perform sample loading/unloading based on schedules.
Prepare and ship samples to contract laboratories when required.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the QC lab and participate in general housekeeping tasks.
Support functional tasks as assigned by lab management.
Comply with all relevant cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Associate’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Laboratory Science, or a related field (Preferred)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a laboratory environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
Experience with inhalation products (MDI) is a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to understand and interpret lab documentation and procedures

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a cGMP laboratory or manufacturing setting
Required to wear appropriate PPE: lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
Regular exposure to solvents, powders, and other chemical materials used in pharmaceutical production
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (75%+ of workday)
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted
Climbing ladders or stairs may occasionally be required
Remote work is not available
