Family owned large fruit warehouse is looking for a full time shipping clerk. Company has been in business for over 60 years & is proud to produce great quality apples to that can feed so many people.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Shipping Clerk located in Tieton, WA. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including Microsoft Word, Excel, typing, ten key. We use Computech switch is a AS400 system, we will teach how to use that, but if knowledge about that system would be a bonus. Other tasks in tale:

answering phones

checking sales orders

checking in and out truck drivers

putting up paperwork for export orders

checking certifications & Phytos

working with the loading dock drivers to make sure loads are ready

being able to communicate with sales people about their orders if something is not right with the order (not enough boxes or too many boxes)

checking export paperwork for errors

making sure pallets ticket are scanned appropriately for the order

Qualifications

Person must be able to work under pressure

Be pleasant to answer phones & visitors to the office

Strong Communication skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility to work different hours throughout the week as needed

Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule is Monday - Friday 8 to 5pm, but sometimes during the season can be longer than 5pm. Benefits include: paid holidays, paid vacation, and health insurance.
