Job Description

Job Title: Senior Recruiter / Recruiting Manager

Location: Chicago, Minneapolis, or Texas preferred Remote or Hybrid (if near a local office)

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 + bonus

Why You Want to Work With Us

Marshall & Stevens is a trusted name in the financial services industry, specializing in valuations and advisory services. We’ve grown rapidly, acquiring six companies in the past 18 months and scaling from a small team to a national platform with nearly 200 employees. As we continue to grow, we’re building our first internal recruiting function—and you could be the one to lead it.

If you’re a recruiting pro who’s been waiting for the chance to architect a full-cycle recruiting engine from the ground up, we want to meet you. This is an opportunity to move beyond being just a recruiter—this is your chance to be a builder, a strategist, and a leader in shaping how we attract and hire top-tier talent.

What This Role Will Do

As the first recruiter at Marshall & Stevens, you’ll design and execute our entire recruiting strategy—systems, processes, and playbooks. You’ll partner closely with the CHRO and business leaders to forecast talent needs, drive pipelines, and ensure an outstanding candidate experience. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a high-growth, build-from-scratch environment.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Recruitment: Manage full-cycle recruiting for a range of roles across our financial valuation, legal, and operations teams.

System Design & Management: Set up and optimize our applicant tracking system (ADP Recruiting), ensuring seamless job postings, workflow design, and compliance.

Process Development: Create and document recruiting playbooks, interview processes, hiring manager guides, and candidate communication templates.

Candidate Sourcing: Leverage LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and agency relationships to proactively build diverse and qualified pipelines.

Hiring Strategy: Partner with HR and business leaders to understand headcount needs, build hiring plans, and report on recruiting metrics.

Campus & Early Talent Recruiting: Develop a campus recruiting strategy to build our intern and entry-level talent pipelines.

Recruiting Brand: Help position Marshall & Stevens as an employer of choice by supporting the development of compelling job descriptions, recruitment campaigns, and candidate experiences.

What Makes You Successful in This Role

Experience: 5+ years of recruiting experience, including in-house and/or agency roles. Proven track record of hiring for professional services, finance, or legal roles is a strong plus.

Tech-Savvy: Hands-on experience with ADP Recruiting (or similar ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools.

Builder Mindset: You’ve helped implement or rebuild recruiting systems and processes from scratch. You thrive in white-space environments.

Strong Communicator: You can build trust with hiring managers and engage candidates with authenticity.

Self-Starter: You're resourceful, organized, and driven to deliver great results with little handholding.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. PHR, AIRS, or LinkedIn Recruiter certifications are a plus.

Why You’ll Love It Here

We’re not just building a company—we’re building a culture. At Marshall & Stevens, you’ll join a collaborative, growth-minded team where your ideas matter and your work will shape the future of our talent strategy. This is a rare opportunity to be the recruiting architect at a growing firm that values both innovation and practical execution.
