As a User Experience (UX) Design Intern, you will collaborate with CPI’s Design, Product, and Development teams to create user-centered designs. This role will focus on contributing to projects that make a real impact on users by creating intuitive and delightful digital experiences. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in user experience design, work with a talented team, and grow your skills in a supportive and innovative environment.
What You Get To Do Everyday:
Conduct user research to understand target audiences, their needs, and pain points. Analyze data and feedback to inform design decisions.
Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and solutions visually.
Develop and style basic web pages using HTML and CSS.
Assist in planning and conducting usability testing sessions. Gather insights and iterate on designs based on test results.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Developers, and other Designers, to ensure alignment with project goals.
Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of our design system to ensure consistency across products.
Prepare design specifications and guidelines for developers to use for implementation.
Collect and incorporate feedback from team members to refine and improve designs.
Perform other position-related duties as assigned.You Need to Have:
High School diploma or GED
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or a related field
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Basic data analysis skills
Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and processes
Knowledge of HTML and CSS
Proficiency with design software (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)
Eager to learn, motivated, and able to take constructive feedback
Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Attention to detail to ensure content accuracy and consistency
Ability to learn new tools and platforms quickly and apply knowledge effectively
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating with a team
Ability to manage deadlines and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
Accountability for work produced
Positive attitude, high-energy
What We Offer:
$18.00 - $20.00/hour
June - August schedule
