Job Summary: The Assistant, Performance Nutrition role supports the Team Dietitian in all aspects of team nutrition services and performance fueling strategies.
This includes managing fueling stations, contributing to player nutrition plans, coordinating with culinary staff, and participating in administrative and educational initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a credentialed RDN with a passion for high performance sport, who thrives in a dynamic, team-centered environment.
This role will work at our training facility and stadium during all phases of the sports calendar, including off-season, training camps, and travel periods.
Primary Job Duties: The Assistant, Performance Dietitian will have the daily responsibilities including, without limitation, to the following: * Performance Nutrition Operations * Assist in execution of day-to-day performance nutrition services including: * Fueling station management (inventory, menus, player preferences) * Meal services before and after practice, training, and home games * Smoothie and grab-n-go station operations * Personalized hydration strategies and snack support * Assist with team and staff meal planning, including hotel and travel menus, catering orders, and recovery meal setups * Participate in team meals and snack prep during regular season, training camp, and international trips * Athlete Support * Support nutrition assessments and counseling conducted by the Lead Sports Dietitian * Input and manage athlete meal plans and data in platforms such as Notemeal * Monitor and document effectiveness of nutrition interventions and fueling strategies * Education & Research * Design educational materials and presentations using Canva and PowerPoint * Support delivery of passive and formal nutrition education initiatives * Stay up to date with trends in sports nutrition, supplements, and food service innovation * Administrative Support * Track inventory, place orders, and manage product receiving and rotation * Assist with budget tracking, cost analysis, and vendor communications * Document services provided and maintain accurate records * Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements * Education: Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field * Credential: Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration * Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in sports nutrition or high-performance environments preferred * Intent to obtain CSSD advanced credential * Can obtain a Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe Manager or local equivalent) * Experience working with Microsoft Office and Canva * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Must be able to work well within a multidisciplinary team * Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity in high-pressure environments * Experience working with professional or elite-level athletes preferred * Clinical and or food service (back of the house) experience preferred * Familiarity with DEXA or other body composition assessment tools preferred * Understanding of NSF Certified for Sport supplement use and evaluation preferred * Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs * Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and travel domestically and internationally as needed; hours will vary depending on business needs.
