Your Role

SAS is seeking a skilled SharePoint Administrator to manage and optimize our SharePoint environment within a hybrid infrastructure encompassing Azure Government Cloud, Microsoft 365 Government Cloud, and on-premises systems. This role is critical in ensuring efficient online collaboration, secure document management, and adherence to CMMC 2.0 requirements across our infrastructure. You will also provide essential computer support as part of the IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

SharePoint Administration:

Plan, configure, install, and maintain the SharePoint platform, integrating applications and creating document libraries

Administer SharePoint sites, customize them for company needs, and manage user access and permissions

Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures for the SharePoint environment

Monitor SharePoint software for issues, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure platform stability

Analyze user activity to optimize performance and user experience

Perform data retrieval, clean-ups, and archiving to ensure sufficient storage

Generate and review usage and activity reports to identify areas for improvement

Provide end-user support and training on SharePoint functionalities

Potentially oversee the work of SharePoint developer

Computer Support & Infrastructure:

Assist in maintaining network infrastructure, including managing encryption, security zones, and firewalls

Perform version updates and upgrades, maintaining detailed records of changes and activities

Ensure adherence to CMMC 2.0 requirements and support audits across the entire IT infrastructure

Troubleshoot and resolve general computer and network-related issues

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a SharePoint Administrator

Minimum of 4 years of experience working with SharePoint and/or social collaboration tools

Experience using and managing code through Microsoft Team Foundation Server

Experience with modeling tools such as Visio or Rational

Hands-on experience with Office 365 and Azure solutions

Comprehensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365

Strong understanding of information security best practices

Familiarity with SharePoint tools, including ULS logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms

Familiarity with website layouts and HTML

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills

Preferred Requirements:

Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE SharePoint Administrator, MCITP, MCSA)

Applied knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and CMMC 2.0 implementation

Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, GSEC, CASP, CISSP)
