Come join our team as an overnight Guest & Family Experience Associate at Ronald McDonald House Charity of Tampa Bay. The right candidates will have excellent customer service skills, ensure proper registration and check-out procedures, assist with guest requests, clean common areas, maintain a home-like and supportive environment, and ability to respond to emergencies.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay (RMHCTB) has been working to improve the health and well-being of children and their families since 1980. Our primary program, the Ronald McDonald House, provides a place to stay for families that have children receiving medical treatment at Tampa Bay hospitals and outpatient centers. RMHCTB operates 4 Ronald McDonald Houses in Tampa Bay, 3 located in St. Petersburg and 1 located in Tampa.

Schedule: Third Shift
Awake Overnight 1: Sun - Tues, 10:00 pm - 8:00 am OR 11:00 pm - 9:00 am (10 hr shifts)
Awake Overnight 2: Thurs - Sat, 10:00 pm - 8:00 am OR 11:00 pm - 9:00 am (10 hr shifts)

JOB SUMMARY
To thrive as a Full-Time Guest + Family Experience Associate for Overnights at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay, Inc., you'll need a vibrant mix of skills and a heart full of compassion! A knack for problem-solving and multitasking will be your best friends as you juggle guest services while ensuring cleanliness and safety. Your proven knowledge of inventory control will keep our kitchens stocked and ready for families, while your tech-savvy nature enables you to learn database systems and produce insightful reports. Strong customer service orientation is a must, complemented by excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create rapport with both guests and donors alike.
You'll need to handle sensitive situations with the utmost confidentiality, maintaining decorum at all times. Reliable transportation is essential for occasional supply pickups, and you'll also stay prepared with CPR and fire training to keep our home safe and sound. Ready to make a difference? Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience:
Degree or relevant experience required. Two years basic management experience preferred.
Required Knowledge/Experience/Skills Include:
· Demonstrated ability to problem solve and multitask.
· Proven knowledge of supplies, equipment and/or service ordering and inventory control.
· Ability to learn database, print reports, write incident reports, and other reporting tasks.
· Must be customer service oriented, including strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to handle and address sensitive situations with confidentiality, decorum, and protocol.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Reliable transportation to/from work and to occasionally pick up supplies ordered for House (mileage reimbursement provided for official business-related trips).
· Must meet healthcare requirements of partner hospital, complete biannual CPR training and annual fire alarm training.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Spanish proficiency/Bilingual ability strongly preferred.
Understanding and sensitivity apropos to the intersections of ability, class, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, religion/spirituality, and sexual orientation.
Mental Demands:
The ability to read and comprehend documents and instruments. Must perform detailed work utilizing reasoning and problem-solving skills and complete multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions. Possess excellent oral and written communications skills, interpersonal skills at all levels of the non-profit field, and organizational skills. Must be able to serve as a pro-active resource for guests, staff, and community members.
Physical Demands:
This job involves all the following in various degrees but is not limited to only these physical demands: attendance, standing, sitting, walking, squatting, carrying, lifting, climbing, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, cleaning, typing, writing, hearing, seeing, speaking. The ability to push up to 50 pounds and lift up to 40 pounds.
Supervision & Scheduling Demands:
Receives light supervision. part-time schedule; however, may require occasional attendance at special events/functions of the organization.
Equipment:
Some of the equipment used to perform this job include computer, printer, facsimile machine, file cabinets, copier, camera, calculator, telephone, scissors, stapler, hole punch, and writing instruments. Common kitchen and laundry appliances.
Special Notes:
The probationary period is 90 days. A review will be conducted by the direct supervisor at 90 days and 1 year; yearly review thereafter with salary consideration by RMHCTB.
