The Premium Audit Manager will be based out of our Avon CT office and will require in Office visits once a month

Responsibilities:

Supervise, train, and motivate premium audit staff, including hiring, performance evaluations, and professional development.

Manage the day-to-day operations of the premium audit department, including ensuring timely and accurate audits.

Ensure that all final audit exposures are entered into rating and billing systems and final audit endorsements are communicated to policyholders and agents.

Respond promptly to inquiries (i.e., agents and insureds) and internal customers (i.e., underwriting, claims and accounting) with information to assist in their understanding of audit-related matters, including audit compliance, procedures, and worksheets.

Implement strategic initiatives that improve efficiency of premium audit processes and systems that result in transactional excellence.

A subject matter expert that provides technical support and guidance to Paragon partners consistent with company goals and objectives.

Remain informed of changes and current information relative to premium auditing through independent rating bureaus, NCCI, or other industry resources.

Notify management of impactful changes to systems, book of business, or processes.

Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

10 years of experience in Premium Audit and 3-5 years in management

Ideally come from a Carrier or MGA

Bachelor's degree in accounting/business management or equivalent of education and experience.

Demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership and project a positive image while effectively managing a team and resources to achieve company goals.

Thorough understanding of the premium audit function with knowledge of insurance coverage, rating and classification procedures.

Strong knowledge of NCCI and Independent Bureau resources such as Basic and Scopes manuals.

General Liability and Auto Dealers premium audit experience preferred.

Strong customer service orientation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrates strong attention to detail in managing complex tasks.

Proficient use of personal computers, software applications, MS Office, and ability to manipulate data quickly and accurately, partnering with internal IT or Systems resources for management reporting.

Insurance designations a plus.

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
