Salary- $120-150,000 + bonus
One of our clients is needing a Network Architect to join their team.
You'll focus on deploying IPv6, enhancing security, delivering training on best practices, and providing architectural guidance to enrich both the networks and their teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Auditing and Planning
Assess customer networks to identify opportunities, such as IPv4 addresses they could monetize.
Develop and execute plans for IPv4 renumbering and IPv6 deployment.
Recommend security enhancements and industry best practices.
Training and Education
Train non-technical and technical audiences on IPv4, IPv6, DNS, BGP, RPKI, RBLs, geolocation, and related topics.
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging way.
Architectural Guidance
Provide technical advice on network architecture, including BGP, RPKI, and other concerns related to IPv4 transactions.
Review and validate the technical accuracy of marketing and educational content.
Demonstrate tools, such as ReView, to potential clients and partners.
Qualifications:
Network Expertise:
In-depth understanding of IPv4 and IPv6, including addressing, security challenges, and deployment strategies.
Hands-on experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), routing policy (IRRs), and routing security (RPKI).
Diverse Network Experience:
Familiarity with ISP, enterprise IT, data center, and cloud environments, and an understanding of their unique challenges and priorities.
Technical Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to create proposals, deliver training, and document networks effectively.
Security Knowledge:
Strong grasp of security best practices, including ACLs, firewalls, IPS, 802.1x, AAA, and defense-in-depth strategies.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Python, Go, Ansible).
Consulting background with a track record of managing client expectations and delivering results.
The network architect has three areas of responsibility:
Audit a variety of networks and plan IPv4 renumbering, IPv6 deployment, and recommend security and other best practices.
Train and explain technical topics to non-technical people, including staff and potential clients.
Provide architectural guidance on potential products and services.
