As Senior Estimator, you'll lead the development of accurate, competitive bids for commercial construction projects, especially in hospitality. You'll collaborate across departments, from project management to vendors, to ensure every cost is accounted for and each estimate sets the foundation for successful execution. This leadership role is critical to our pre-construction phase and sets the tone for project profitability.

Responsibilities:

Develop detailed, accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and project expenses

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and subcontractor bids

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to create and refine budgets

Perform value engineering and risk assessments to mitigate potential issues

Lead subcontractor/vendor coordination and maintain strong relationships for favorable pricing

Create thorough bid packages and ensure timely submission

Analyze completed projects to adjust future estimates

Stay current on market trends, labor rates, and material costs

Maintain documentation, bid schedules, and win/loss data

Proactively source bid opportunities and attend networking events

Supervise and train junior estimators as needed

Qualifications:

7 or more years of estimating experience, preferably in commercial construction

Proven ability to lead complex bids and manage high volumes of data

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing

Proficiency in Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, and familiarity with tools like StackCT or Building Connected

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Must be a self-starter able to work independently with limited oversight

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Compensation & Benefits:

Full time position

Competitive salary at $90,000 to $115,000 per year, based on experience

Future opportunity to build and lead an estimating department

Travel is not required for this role
