Position Overview

The XY Cutter is responsible for cutting and racking soft shade fabrics according to precise custom specifications using automated XY cutting machines.

What you'll do

Operate flat or automatic cutting machines to cut fabric accurately.

Verify fabric type, color, and bolt tags against order tickets.

Inspect fabric for defects during and after cutting; report issues.

Cut correct quantities, rack neatly, and label all orders properly.

Submit daily cut-out and re-cut reports with complete details.

Trim salvage as needed; use clips on sheers to prevent damage.

Use leftover fabric for accessories and cut linings as required.

Maintain a clean work area and perform other assigned tasks.

Who you are

High school graduate

General knowledge of fabrics and hand cutting fabric

Ability to use hand tools

Ability to use and read a tape measure

Must successfully pass a color blindness test

Accurate with names, numbers, and spelling

Capable of standing for extended periods of time

Capable of lifting on a continuous basis

Standing up to seven hours or more per shift

Frequently operates cutting machinery or rotary cutting tools and hand tools

Able to work with minimal supervision

Strong attention to detail

Able to follow written and verbal instructions
