ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Operations Specialist, Q-Cleared Escorts to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory! This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

Acts as the day-to-day technical interface for LANL’s Escorts division and facility operations.

Oversee Q-Cleared Security Escorts.

Ensure that Escorts are properly scheduled and where they need to be.

Act as the middleman between requesting Managers and supporting Escorts, with majority of escorts having Q and HRP as well as inside PF4.

Acts as the day-to-day technical interface between the facility operations organization and the programmatic tenants in a facility or a collection of facilities.

Assists in the day-to-day business operations functions and in the development and deliverance of facility operations-focused programs, policies, processes, and procedures in support of safe and compliant facility operations.

Develops and maintains facility operations-focused programs, policies, processes, and procedures in support of safe and compliant facility operations.

Provides guidance on governmental regulations and Laboratory guidelines.

Conducts incident and general issues management investigations and reporting.

Participates in or supporting readiness reviews for operations.

Supports the activity approval process.

Develops and maintains required operational documentation and procedural manuals.

Performs planning and budgeting.

Provides other compliance and/or quality-related support functions including development of training, delivery of facility-level training, tracking and assurance of employee training.

Ensures property accountability, and access control.

Provides other operational/administrative support functions as required.

Requirements

Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.

Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.

Must have basic computer knowledge and a willingness to learn the system.

Must be willing to work a 4x10 schedule from Tuesday – Friday on the Grave Shift from 5:00pm MT – 3:30am MT.

Must be willing to work Overtime (which will be paid), if requested.

The NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons. This lab possesses unique capabilities in neutron scattering, enhanced surveillance, radiography, and plutonium science and engineering (energy.gov).
