The Role: Database Developer

ONSITE: Las Colinas, TX

We’re looking for a skilled Database Developer to optimize and expand our SQL Server reporting database. You’ll play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, performance, and scalability—working closely with our analytics team to turn raw data into meaningful insights that drive smart decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Optimize and maintain SQL Server stored procedures for analytics and reporting

Partner with Data Engineering and BI to align databases with reporting needs

Optimize SQL for performance, scalability, and maintainability

Ensure data integrity across source systems and reports

Analyze and transform staging data into analytical tables

Identify opportunities to refactor legacy code and improve database design

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to stored procedures and data transformation pipelines

Collaborate in shaping and refining data architecture strategies

What You Need:

5+ years of experience in SQL Server development, including complex stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning

Strong experience with T-SQL and query optimization

Deep understanding of relational database design, normalization, and ETL practices

Experience working with data from diverse systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, third-party APIs)

Proven ability to understand and reverse-engineer existing codebases and data flows

Knowledge of source control practices (e.g., Git) in a database development context

Exposure to DevOps/DataOps principles
