We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity analyst located at Offutt Airforce base. Secret Clearance required! The 557th Weather Wing (557 WW) comprises two (2) Weather Groups with seventeen (17) geographically separated locations worldwide and operates the largest Special Purpose Processing Node (SPPN) data center in the United States Air Force (USAF). This is a permanent position located at Offutt AFB Offutt is a U.S. Air Force base south of Omaha, adjacent to Bellevue in Sarpy County, Nebraska. This specific contract runs through 2031 Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. The Wing is the single node for the collection, processing, and dissemination of terrestrial and space weather data/information and provides the sole 24/7 intelligence operation forecasting capability and space environmental analysis and forecasting capability for the Department of Defense (DoD). The 557 WW is the DoD's only source of Climate Monitoring and Prediction (CMAP) and home to the largest military meteorological data archive in the world. The Wing is responsible for regionally focused 24/7 forecasting operations around the world including the following: resource protection, terminal aviation, hazard forecasts, characterizing the environment within all geographic Combatant Commands Areas of Responsibility to enable execution of national defense missions, and facilitating daily Operational Risk Management decisions by commanders in the homeland, host nations, and combat zones. As a Cybersecurity Analyst you will: Planning: Cyber Operational Readiness Assessment Planning (CORA) consisting of the following:
• Testing and analysis
• Scheduling and implementation of all applicable Security Technical Implementation guides (STIGS)
• Monitoring and execution of the quarterly revalidation schedule.
• Monitoring emerging changes to the applicable STIGs outside of the quarterly schedules. (CDRL A003) Meeting Support: The contractor personnel shall support the following: • Briefing 557 WW leadership on Cyber Security updates
• Preparing biweekly Cyber Security Update meetings
• Meeting with stakeholders to facilitate Cyber Security collaboration
• Obtaining input from stakeholders to present to 557 WW leadership. (CDRL A002, A003, A005
• Monitoring the cybersecurity risk and threat to the 557 WW's cyber environment
• Assisting with the implementation plans for the 557 WW's transition to a cloud environment Basic Qualifications: • Secret Clearance required • At least five (5) years of demonstrated relevant experience in Air Force or industry standards for Cyber Security and system accreditation or equivalent experience with National Institute of Standards and Technology security standards.
