Junior DevOps Engineer - HYBRID with Security Clearance

Position Title: Junior DevOps Engineer

Location: Columbia, MD

Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly

Telework: Up to 2 days per week Position Overview:

Seeking a full-time Junior DevOps Engineer to help design, develop, and maintain a variety of web-based analysis tools across customer networks. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about DevOps practices and eager to contribute to critical software systems in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support for deploying and maintaining software across existing systems.

• Assist in migrating software deployments to new cloud environments.

• Research, design, implement, and manage software deployments using CI/CD pipelines.

• Identify and recommend improvements for existing systems, and implement changes per contract requirements.

• Collaborate with developers, platform maintainers, and systems analysts.

• Report to the Senior DevOps Lead for tasking and performance updates.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience with:

o Kubernetes

o Docker and Docker-compose

o Helm

o Git/GitLab

o GitLab Runners

o Rancher

o Linux command line tools

Preferred/Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with dockerized microservices architectures.

• Experience using AWS tools, including:

o CloudFormation

o EC2

o S3

o ECS

o EKS

o DynamoDB

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, OR

• 5 years of relevant experience without a degree
