POSITION SUMMARY: The Compliance Officer performs various duties with assistance from the Lead Compliance Officer to ensure that the Gaming Operation and its licensees comply with the requirements of all federal, state, and tribal regulations as they apply to Class II and III gaming on the Settlement and is also responsible for ensuring game integrity at the Gaming Operation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Reads and comprehends all Gaming Commission Compliance Policy & Procedures, all Gaming Operations Policy and Procedure manuals, TICS, NIGC MICS, Compact, Gaming Regulations, and Gaming Ordinance.
Trains in the respective departments: Slots, Table Games, Bingo, Security, Surveillance, Cage and Drop/Count so as to be familiar with unique job requirements.
Needs to stay current with the newest regulatory testing programs and systems.
Performs EPROM testing, with sufficient knowledge of equipment used, to perform duties without direct supervision.
Attends staff meetings and submits weekly and monthly reports to the Commission.
Performs various duties independently and with assistance from Lead Compliance Officer to monitor the Gaming Operation and its licensees for Compliance with the following: departmental Policy & Procedures, TICS, NIGC, MICS, Compact, Gaming Regulations, and Gaming Ordinance.
Files complaints with the Gaming Commission against individual(s) and/or departments that are non-compliant with the Gaming Regulations, Policies & Procedures, TICS, NIGC, MICS, Compact, and Gaming Ordinance.
Utilizes gaming knowledge and experience to analyze and investigate State of Iowa or Patron complaints.
Assures visibility of all Casino Employees licenses.
Performs all other functions and tasks as assigned.
Restricted from all gaming on casino premises.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have High School diploma/GED.
Minimum of 2 years of gaming experience.
Must have knowledge or the ability to learn all components (electronic and mechanical) and equipment used to repair/set up and test devices used in the operation of slot machines, slot data and progressive systems.
Must have an understanding of the OASIS System.
Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Effectively communicate in written and oral form; exercise sound judgement in the performance of duties.
Must be able to gain and maintain confidence, cooperation, and confidentiality while performing job duties.
Meet and interact professionally with anyone contacted during the course of work.
Must be available to assist occasionally outside of the regular work schedule for special projects as directed by Lead Compliance Officer or Gaming Commissioners.
Must be able to pass extensive background investigation.
Native American Preference.
Basic understanding of CFR 25, Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988, Tribal/State Compact and Sac & Fox Gaming Ordinance.
Detailed knowledge of the Sac & Fox Tribe Internal Control Standards (TICS), Gaming Regulations, and Title 31 Currency Reporting Requirements.
Attend any classes, seminars, meetings, conferences and/or training that deals with Native American gaming or compliance issues as deemed necessary by the Gaming Commission.
Must possess sensitivity to Native American Culture.
Must complete a ninety (90) day probationary period.
Must have full capability to interpret and comprehend extensive gaming material as directed by State and Federal guidelines.
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and independence from the Gaming Operation and its employees.
Must possess a valid Driver's License.
