The Administrative Assistant (AA) provides administrative support and assistance to the Offices of Admissions and Financial Aid. In this capacity, the AA supports the recruitment, enrollment management, and scholarship functions of the admissions office and the scholarship award and documentation function for the financial aid office. The AA maintains the Deans' calendar(s), and the admissions office calendar; prepares correspondence to prospective students, alumni and other constituencies; prepares and administers Qualtrics surveys and assists with the data input into the UNITE database; arrange travel for the admissions office staff and assists with processing travel and procurement card receipts and documentation.
The AA has the primary responsibility for the input of prospect data into the admissions database UNITE, and assists the Assistant Director of Enrollment Management with data entry into the OSU SIS database. The OAA is the primary representative of the admissions office with respect to incoming telephone calls and correspondence; develops familiarity with and describes college programs, admissions requirements and processes, Law School Admission Council (LSAC) requirements, basic career development information, and basic academic program information.
Responds to and/or distributes law admit emails as appropriate; monitors the admissions and financial aid web pages and makes changes as needed. Assists with the process of reviewing applicant files for scholarship matching purposes; provides clerical and administrative support to the admissions and financial aid offices; on an as needed basis, assists with College of Law tours, event planning and support. Limited travel may be required for training and professional development. The AA ships and tracks recruiting materials, orders and maintains office, printer and copier supplies. Other tasks as assigned by the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid.
Required Education:
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

The successful applicant must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, data entry and word processing skills, a strong commitment to student-focused customer service, and experience working with a diverse group of people.
The successful applicant must also be able to become broadly knowledgeable regarding the college's programs and the admission process.
Able to communicate this information via verbal, written, and social media formats.
The applicant must be able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. Experience in the use of database information systems is strongly desired.

Assisting the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid by providing administrative support to both; sending correspondence to alumni and students when needed; providing support for the Assistant Dean for Admissions and Financial Aid with the tracking and stewarding of endowed scholarships; assist the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid; and otherwise assist the Assistant Dean in both their administrative and faculty capacities. Travel planning, procurement processing, and other administrative support as needed.

Responding to, or distribute law admit emails as appropriate. Monitoring and updating admissions webpage. Reviewing applicant files for scholarship matching purposes. Providing clerical and administrative support to the admission, financial aid, and diversity and inclusion office staff, including back-up phone support. Assists with College of Law tours if needed. Provides event support, as needed. Ships and tracks recruiting materials. Orders and maintains office, printer and copier supplies.
Other tasks as assigned by the Assistant Dean for Admissions and Financial Aid.
Target Salary Range: $21.11 - $27.77 per hour. The salary for this position is dependent on qualifications and experience.
