Territory Manager- North & South Carolina
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years on-the-road sales experience with a proven track record of success. Experience in the construction or pool industry is of significant advantage.
Extensive travel is essential for success in this role.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Prospect, Lead Generation: Identify and engage with builders, OEMs, distributors, and potential customers to generate new business opportunities and expand existing relationships, all while working to meet or exceed sales targets.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with both existing and potential customers in the region. Understand their needs, preferences, and challenges to provide tailored solutions.
Analyze sales data to support customers in boosting their sales and maintain regular communication to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term loyalty.
Sales Presentations, Demonstrations: Deliver engaging sales presentations and product demonstrations that effectively highlight the features, benefits, and value of products and services. Customize each presentation to meet the specific needs and requirements of prospective customers.
Sales Recording and Forecasting: Accurately record sales activities, customer interactions, and sales progress. Provide regular reports and forecasts, including customer needs, volume potential, pricing schedules, and market feedback, to key stakeholders.
Trade Shows & Exhibitions: Represent Company at trade shows, association meetings, and exhibitions to promote the brand and showcase our products to a wider audience.
Market Research: Continuously gather and analyze market intelligence to identify new business opportunities, customer trends, and competitive positioning. Use these insights to provide actionable feedback to key stakeholders and develop effective sales strategies.
Strategy and Sales Targets: Develop and execute an annual sales plan for the region, including a comprehensive sales strategy, to maximize returns from assigned accounts and meet sales quotas set by the Vice President of Sales.
Sales Training and Development: Engage in ongoing sales training and professional development to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and overall performance. Additionally, provide training to customers when needed to ensure successful product usage.
Additional Duties: Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of Sales to support business objectives and team success.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) highly desirable.
5 years of related sales experience (Pool industry or construction experience advantageous).
Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel long distances by vehicle and plane.
