ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION BIM MANAGER

Our client is a stable and growing electrical contractor looking to add an Electrical BIM Manager to their team.

Responsibilities:

· Create structural BIM models and construction documents for a variety of building types using Revit and other BIM platforms, including commercial and industrial construction

· Create model views, building plans and layouts, sketches, and construction details

· Coordinates with structural engineers to gather building dimensions, drawing requirements, structural details, and drawing markups

· Use of BIM360 to optimize modeling across offices and act as gatekeeper for incoming/outgoing models/documentation

· Excellent communications skills are required.

· Candidate should have the ability to understand architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil drawings, as well as related specifications.

· Familiarity with electrical construction means and methods.

· Experienced in the production of design documents, fabrication drawings, or design detail drawings as it relates to both design professionals and trade contractors in Revit and AutoCAD platforms.

· Ability to problem solve software issues and work out platform interoperability issues using IFCs, DWFs, DWGs, Revit files, Tekla files, and other BIM-produced formats.

· Experience with Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Navisworks are preferred.

Strong computer, technical, and communications skills are essential and required.

Qualifications:

· 3+ years of experience with Revit

· Associate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting or similar

· In-depth knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 Glue
