We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Commercial Construction Project Executive to join a top-tier commercial construction firm. This leadership position is key to the successful delivery of large-scale commercial projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The Project Executive will oversee multiple projects, manage client relationships, and lead a team of project managers and construction professionals.

Job Description

Leadership & Management: Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and execution of multiple commercial construction projects. Lead and mentor project managers and teams to ensure projects meet client expectations and company standards.

Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, timely project updates, and proactive problem-solving. Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to foster repeat business and referrals.

Project Oversight: Ensure that all commercial construction projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and with the highest level of quality. Provide oversight and support to project teams and ensure that project goals are met.

Contract Negotiation & Management: Negotiate and manage project contracts, including subcontracts, change orders, and purchase orders. Ensure all contractual obligations are met and address any potential issues that arise.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks to project timelines, costs, and quality and develop effective strategies to mitigate those risks. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes.

Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting. Ensure that projects are completed within the approved budget and manage project cash flow effectively.

Scheduling & Resource Allocation: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring the timely procurement of materials and resources. Allocate manpower and resources efficiently across multiple projects.

Quality Control: Implement and uphold rigorous quality control standards across all projects. Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is being performed to the highest standards of quality.

Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including estimators, engineers, architects, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless coordination and project delivery.

Business Development: Identify opportunities for business growth, including new projects and clients. Collaborate with the sales and estimating teams to pursue new business opportunities. The Successful Applicant

Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale projects. A strong portfolio of successfully completed commercial projects is required.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of construction processes, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and quality control.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality.

Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and manage project teams.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar) and MS Office Suite.

Strong understanding of commercial construction contracts, legal documents, and building codes.
