Links Technology is seeking a motivated and skilled Billing Analyst for a Contract-to-Hire opportunity to join our client's team in Sparks, NV. Our client is a leading provider of advanced technologies in the aerospace, defense, and other sectors. This is initially a contract billing role with strong potential for conversion to a full-time Billing Analyst position based on performance and business needs, offering a great opportunity to contribute to a leading defense contractor in Sparks, Nevada.
Responsibilities of the Billing Analyst:
Manage the billing and accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections in accordance with company policies and requirements.
Handle a high volume of invoices, processing approximately 200-300 per person per day.
Maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners regarding assigned programs.
Monitor customer accounts, ensure timely payments, and follow up on delinquencies (collections).
Collaborate with internal teams to verify invoice accuracy and contract compliance.
Support month-end closing activities and report generation.
Qualifications for this Billing Analyst role:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2-4 years of hands-on experience in Billing or Accounts Receivable (AR).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience in Billing or AR within the U.S. Military, Department of Defense, or Aerospace and Defense Industry is preferred.
Experience with accounting software like Deltek Costpoint or SAP is highly desirable.
Familiarity with government contracting tools such as eCRMS or CLMS is a plus, particularly in a defense contractor environment.
