Your Role & Responsibilities

As a Referral Coordinator, you’ll work under the direction of the Director of Workers’ Compensation to manage inbound calls and referral coordination for patients requiring workers’ compensation-related care.

Answer high-volume inbound calls and respond to inquiries

Receive, process, and schedule workers’ compensation referrals

Coordinate scheduling with the appropriate physicians and providers

Communicate with workers' comp coordinators, adjusters, and nurse case managers

Enter patient and referral information into the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system

Route patient requests to clinical staff as needed

Stay updated on provider schedules, clinic protocols, and system updates

Escalate complex issues to the Director when necessary

Provide excellent customer service to patients and stakeholders

Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table

High school diploma or equivalent – Required

1–2 years of medical office administration experience – Preferred

Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance, and referral workflows

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-call-volume environment

Excellent communication, organization, and data entry skills

Typing speed of 45 WPM and proficiency with EHR systems – Preferred

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

Problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
