Returning Engineering Intern

Position Description

Serco is seeking a 2025 Returning Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team supporting the Defense Systems Sector. This position will be located in Orlando, FL, and offers the opportunity to work with a team of professionals committed to innovation and excellence.

In this role, you will:

Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Conduct analyses at all levels of the total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.

Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university.

Must be majoring in or have majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field.

Must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2025.

Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Additional desired experience and skills:

Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Previous internship or cooperative education experience in an engineering environment.
