Position Summary Information

Position Summary

The Program Coordinator, Academic Affairs reports directly to the Provost and supports the transition of the academic programs currently handled by Risepoint back to the University. This temporary position will handle special projects related to the transition and provide day-to-day operational support in Student Success, Enrollment and Admissions, or the office of the Provost as needed. The position is temporary and will be available from as soon as it is filled through August 29, 2025.

The successful candidate is welcome to bid on any regular position(s) that may become available at the University.

Major Responsibilities

Work with Student Success and IITS to develop a tool to communicate and correspond with students.

Assist with the day-to-day needs of online students – academic alerts, questions/concerns of the student, registration inquiries, etc.

Assess, implement, and improve existing procedures for onboarding new students to Utica Systems, including the Navigate and other support systems.

Partner with Admissions to facilitate admitted student progress toward enrollment, including input on:

Communication regarding acceptance/deposit

Leveraging the student enrollment portal

Completing financial aid

Understanding the billing process

Populating the new student checklist within the CRM portal.

Review existing onboarding and orientation materials with an eye toward improvement. Update materials as necessary.

Coordinate with program directors and chairs to identify program-specific onboarding or orientation needs.

Assist with onboarding and new student orientation for online students.

Complete special projects related to the transition as assigned.

Education & Experience Qualifications

Master’s Degree preferred.

Prior experience in higher education is required.

Experience working with incoming and existing students.

Minimum Skills/Abilities

· Excellent written communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

· Ability to produce work that is accurate.

· Demonstrated data analysis and process development/improvement skills.

· Exceptional customer service skills.
