As growth continues, VMP is seeking a strategic and results-driven Project Manager & Operations Lead to oversee all critical operational pillars required for smooth product delivery and customer excellence, nationwide.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized, process-driven Project Manager & Operations Lead to oversee day-to-day logistics, project workflows, and shipping operations for a high-volume rapid turnaround automotive parts distribution center. While we work in teams, this position will focus on sales made to the military sector. As such, our ideal candidate brings deep operational expertise, hands-on project management skills, and a keen eye for safety, efficiency, and compliance to contact requirements. This role leads a small team (2-3 direct reports) and is ideal for someone with experience in government contracts and/or bringing a highly strategic and organized mindset toward structure and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all shipping, receiving, and warehouse logistics to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Manage government and military contract requirements, including compliance with shipping documentation, labeling, packaging and delivery standards.
Oversee and partner with supply chain management, warehousing, distribution, and procurement to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Implement process improvements and best practices to optimize inventory and reduce costs.
Lead, mentor, and manage a small team with clarity, accountability, and a strong process orientation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility-ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and standards.
Monitor inventory, track shipments, resolve delays, and ensure shipping accuracy.
Drive continuous improvement through process audits, SOP development, and performance reporting.

3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, project management, and/or shipping/logistics
Fluent Bilingual Speaker: English / Spanish. Portuguese preferred, but not required
Proven success in scaling operations, improving supply chain efficiency, and optimizing distribution networks
1+ year(s) experience with government contracts, military procurement, or municipal logistics
Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Hands-on experience using project management tools and methodologies
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive operational improvements
Safety-conscious with experience enforcing warehouse safety practices Preferred Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field
Experience providing services to the military, bringing strong planning, project management, and hands-on logistics expertise while serving a customer of this nature.
Proficiency with shipping software, inventory platforms, and Microsoft Office tools
Implement and optimize operational workflows using project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Jira, Monday.com, or MS Project).

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation starts at $55,000 + Incentive / year based on experience.
