Description
Coordinate mentor/mentee matches with the Aspire Mentoring Program to prevent truancy and dropout and build positive relations with mentors, mentees, and their families; Collaborate with local school districts and other organizations to receive mentee referrals; Secure parent consent forms, qualitative surveys, and background checks for potential mentors; Develop flyers, and advertisement for programs; Solicit event donations; performs other related duties.

Provide case management for approximately thirty-five mentor/mentee matches, including documentation of time spent, resources needed, documentation of data for grants and other reports.
Assist with New Mentor Orientation to meet potential volunteer mentors and ensure proper training and background checks are received.
Attend mentoring program meetings for case management, training and the Mentoring Advisory Council and Partners in Prevention Steering committee.
Assist in planning special mentor, mentee and family activities.
Data entry into innovative, and online data system that tracks attendance, mentor training, and notes for each mentor/mentee match.
Outreach to potential mentors, students, and their caregivers, complete questionnaires, and schedule regular follow-up phone calls.
Assists in mediating and resolving program issues
Deliver presentations regarding the Aspire Mentoring Program.
Provide trained and screened adult volunteers to kindergarten - 12th grade children who are in need of a positive role model.
Prepare and disseminate flyers, brochures, and advertisement for programs;
Solicit event donations
Performs other related duties as assigned or required. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, and two years program/outreach experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Work is performed in a standard office environment and in the field when implementing special events and/or other program activities.
Subject to sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting of objects up to 20 pounds.
