POSITION: Marketing Project Coordinator (Part-time)
REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing
DEPARTMENT: Pittsburgh Playhouse
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Marketing Project Coordinator works as a strategic project manager who helps maintain essential marketing functions that shape the Playhouse's positive image, increase ticket/subscription/donation sales, and build general brand awareness through various print and digital channels. In addition to the direct line to Marketing, this role works closely with the Box Office, Patron Services, and Development to further develop compelling content and external relations initiatives. This role involves fluctuating hours to accommodate daily office hours, performance hours, and special events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in marketing and project management, particularly social media platforms, content development, and email marketing systems.
Experience in graphic/video design, writing, and SEO practices.
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Ability to use content to tell compelling stories.
Detail oriented with proofreading and copy editing skills.
Arts marketing experience preferred, but not required.
Tessitura ticketing system knowledge preferred, but not required.
DUTIES:
Coordinate content for the Playhouse's Playbills, which will serve as a repository for additional content strategies for web and social
Manage the Playhouse's social media accounts and create continuous content for organic social media strategies
Coordinate the weekly execution of the Playhouse's email campaigns
Use various tools and technologies, such as design/video software, cameras, audio, etc. to design and create compelling content for various marketing and communications channels. Coordinate and schedule with content vendors such as photographers, videographers and artistic personnel
Support Marketing team in the organization of content and material
Work with student support staff in the ideation and execution of content marketing tactics
Any other duties as assigned
