Electrical BIM Drafter/ Coordinator

Seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Drafter/Coordinator to create, manage, and coordinate 3D electrical models and construction drawings. This role supports accurate design integration, clash detection, and efficient project execution within the electrical scope.

-Develop and manage 2D/3D BIM models for power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems

-Coordinate electrical models with architectural, structural, and MEP systems

-Perform clash detection and propose resolutions for electrical conflicts

-Produce detailed construction and shop drawings from BIM models

-Ensure compliance with NEC, company standards, and client specs

-Assist with schedules, material takeoffs, and documentation

-Support project teams and participate in coordination meetings

-Maintain and update BIM files throughout the project lifecycle

Job Requirements

-Associate"s or Bachelor"s degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, Construction Management, or related field

-4+ years of experience as a BIM Drafter or Coordinator, preferably in electrical systems

-Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and AutoCAD

-Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and industry standards

-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

-Strong communication and collaboration skills

-Revit or BIM-related certification preferred (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional)

-Experience with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) a plus

-Familiarity with prefabrication or modular construction is desirable
